The Los Angeles Sparks' Sharnee Zoll will miss the remainder of the 2012 season due to a torn Anterior Cruciate Ligament in her left knee.
Zoll averaged 7 assists in her two preseason games with the Sparks, including an impressive 10-point, 6-assist, 3-rebound effort against Japan's National Team.
"It's unfortunate that Sharnee won't be able to play this season," Sparks General Manager Penny Toler said. "Up until her injury, she was playing really well."
The Sparks have started the season 2-0 with both wins coming against the Seattle Storm. However, LA will face a significant challenge this week, as they take on the defending champion Minnesota Lynx on May 24, and then face Phoenix the following night on the road.
