The International Olympic Committee (IOC) wised up and agreed to bring back baseball and softball to the upcoming 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. Why those two legitimate sports with years of tradition in multiple countries were removed from the Games in the first place was inexplicable, but at least the IOC had the good sense to bring them back.

Tanner Byrne wins Professional Bull Riders' 2016 Anaheim Invitational

Anaheim, Calif. -- Canadian Tanner Byrne captured his first career Built Ford Tough Series win during the Professional Bull Riders' 2016 Anaheim Invitational this weekend in front of more than 25,000 fans at the Honda Center.
Byrne, 23, went 4-for-4, sealing his victory with an 86.5-point effort on Doc Mosley to earn 570 points toward the PBR world standings. The win gave Byrne a huge boost in the standings, going from 33rd place to sixth overall.

Oceanside, Calif. -- Many of the world's top female surfers converged on the waves of Oceanside this weekend to compete in the Paul Mitchell Supergirl Pro. The event's big show of talent overcame the small waist-high waves by delivering rooster-tailed cutbacks and crowd-pumping aerials despite the less than ideal conditions of 1-3 foot waves.

Anaheim, Calif. -- Southern California sports fans were treated to a thrilling spectacle of man-versus-beast this weekend, when Brazilian bull rider Valderon de Oliveira won the Professional Bull Riders LiftMaster Chute Out at the Honda Center with a victory-clinching final ride of 90.75 on C Note. After going 4-for-4 on his rides in Anaheim, de Oliveira currently ranks sixth in the season standings.
