Devon Alexander has suffered an injury to his bicep during training, causing his championship bout against Kell Brook to be postponed. The fight was scheduled as the main event of Showtime's February 23 telecast. A new date is currently being scheduled and will be announced shortly.
The February 23 card will still take place as scheduled with the main event now being the world title fight between Detroit native and IBF Junior Middleweight Champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage and Ishe "Sugar Shay" Smith.
The injury marks another setback in the once promising career of Alexander, who was hoping to rebound from his recent lackluster performances with a signature win.
