Jose Luis Real Casillas named Head Coach of Chivas Guadalajara

November 25, 2013

Club Deportivo Guadalajara S.A. de C.V. today announced the appointment of Jose Luis Real Casillas as its Head Coach.  Real previously coached Chivas USA during the second part of the 2013 Major League Soccer season.

With Real’s return to Guadalajara’s First Team, Chivas USA will now search for replacements for its MLS side.  In other words, the instability will continue again at Chivas USA.

Real was a replacement for Chivas USA coach Jose Luis Sanchez Sola, who had only recently replaced Robin Fraser himself.

In 21 games with the Goats, Coach Real recorded three victories and six draws, while implementing a more organized style of play.

His commitment to developing young talent was also evident, as he allowed five players from Chivas USA's current 17-man roster make their professional debut.
