Boxing trainer Freddie Roach rips coach Alex Ariza, calls for Pacquiao-Mayweather
January 9, 2014
When we last saw boxing trainer Freddie Roach and strength coach Alex Ariza together in China a few weeks ago, Ariza had delivered a kick to Roach's chest while the two argued over their respective fighters' gym schedules prior to the Manny Pacquiao-Brandon Rios bout.
Since that incident, the Roach-trained Pacquiao went on to dominate Rios in a lopsided decision win in which Rios would test positive for a banned substance after the fight.
Media colleague Radio Rahim recently caught up to Roach, and the candid trainer pulled no punches in addressing what he feels are Ariza's questionable ethics.
Roach also discussed Pacquiao's potential future opponents, including Floyd Mayweather, Tim Bradley, and Ruslan Provodnikov.
