LA KISS fall at home to Cleveland, 40-30

April 13, 2014

The Los Angeles KISS lost a 40-30 thriller at home in Anaheim Saturday night against the now 4-0 Cleveland Gladiators. Quarterback J.J. Raterink led the KISS with 4 touchdowns and 259 yards.  Wide receiver Donovan Morgan also contributed with 3 touchdowns and 115 yards.

Cleveland pulled ahead 6-0 in the first quarter with a completed five-yard touchdown pass by quarterback Shane Austin to receiver Dominick Goodman.  But Los Angeles quickly fired back with a 45-yard completion to Morgan on an outstanding one-handed grab to put LA ahead 7-6.

After falling behind at halftime 19-17, LA rallied to take a 30-26 third quarter lead.  However, the Gladiators were not done yet, as Cleveland completed a 35-yard pass to go up 33-30 at the end of three.

After a strong defensive fourth quarter, Cleveland got one final touchdown to seal the deal.

The LA KISS are on the road next Saturday to take on the Iowa Barnstormers at 5PM (PT).
