LA Clippers announce radio deal with 980 AM

April 13, 2015

The Los Angeles Clippers and The Beast 980 today announced an exclusive multi-year broadcast rights agreement in which 980 AM will continue to be the team's official radio home for all preseason, regular season, and Playoff games. In addition, the station will also provide comprehensive year-round coverage.

Play-by-play duties will be handled by Brian Sieman, who is now in his eighth season calling Clippers games, while the venerable “Voice of the Clippers,” Ralph Lawler, and former Clipper Michael Smith, will team up with Sieman to call all nationally televised games not shown on Fox Sports PRIME TICKET.

Long-time Clippers broadcaster Isaac Lowenkron will continue to host Clippers pre-game, halftime and post-game shows. The Beast 980’s George Wrighster and Brett Winterble also host “Clippers Hardcore” before every game.

“The Beast 980 has been providing exceptional coverage of the Clippers on and off the court, while uniquely engaging our fans,” Clippers President of Business Operations Gillian Zucker said. “We are proud to continue this relationship with L.A.’s new home for sports, establishing a long-term destination for Clippers basketball on the radio.”

To celebrate the announcement, The Beast 980 will be giving away tickets to every Clippers home Playoff game.
