LA Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully out for postseason

October 8, 2015

The Los Angeles Dodgers will be a man down tomorrow night at Chavez Ravine when they face the New York Mets in Game One of the National League Division Series, as Hall of Fame broadcaster Vin Scully, on the advice of his doctors, will miss the Dodgers’ postseason games in order to rest.

According to a release issued by the Dodgers today, Scully underwent "a recommended medical procedure this morning and is resting comfortably."

Scully missed a few games toward the end of the season due to health-related issues, and previously has indicated that he will return in 2016 for what is likely to be his last season in the broadcast booth.

Next year will be his 67th season with the Dodgers.
