DUCKS MATCH FRANCHISE RECORD WITH 10TH STRAIGHT WIN

Corey Perry registered 1-2—3 to power the Ducks to a 17-1-1 clip in their last 19 games, including 10 consecutive victories – matching the franchise record established Dec. 6-28, 2013.

The Ducks became the third team to post a 10-game winning streak in 2015-16, joining the Panthers (Dec. 15 – Jan. 10: 12-0-0) and Blackhawks (Dec. 29 – Jan. 19: 12-0-0). Via Elias, it marks the first season in NHL history in which three teams have recorded winning streaks of 10 or more games.

The Ducks also improved to 11-1-3 in their past 15 contests as visitors, including five straight wins. They began the season 4-10-1 away from Honda Center.

Frederik Andersen (27 SV) extended his personal point streak to 14 consecutive decisions (12-0-2). Elias says that is tied for the second-longest such streak in franchise history, behind Jonas Hiller’s 16-game run (Nov. 30, 2013 – Jan. 12, 2014: 14-0-2).

Anaheim also owns the NHL’s top overall record (24-4-2, .833 points percentage) and road record (11-1-2) since Christmas.

KINGS DEFEAT MONTREAL, 3-2

The Kings raced to a 2-0 lead in the opening 3:33 of regulation en route to their fourth victory in their past five contests. Tanner Pearson scored for the third consecutive game (4-0—4), while Dwight King provided the winning goal – the seventh of his career and second in his last four outings (also Feb. 25 vs. EDM).

LIGHTNING EQUAL CLUB RECORD WITH 8TH STRAIGHT VICTORY

Ben Bishop turned aside 33 of 34 shots to backstop the Lightning to their eighth consecutive win, equaling the franchise record set Feb. 23 – March 6, 2004.

At 38-22-4 (80 points), the Lightning leapfrogged the Panthers (36-20-8, 80 points) – who lost in regulation – for first place in the Atlantic Division. Though the teams are tied in terms of points, Tampa Bay owns the ROW tiebreaker (TBL: 35, FLA: 30).

The Lightning also earned their sixth straight road win, their longest such run since Jan. 8 – Feb. 7, 2008 (6-0-0) and one shy of the club record established Jan. 7 – Feb. 1, 2007 (7-0-0).

Bishop, who played 23 games with the Senators (2012-13), improved 9-0-3 in 13 career appearances against his former club (2.02 GAA, .933 SV%).

JAGR TIES HOWE FOR THIRD PLACE ON ALL-TIME POINTS LIST

Panthers forward Jaromir Jagr (743-1,107—1,850) collected one assist to tie Gordie Howe (801-1,049—1,850) for third place on the NHL’s all-time points list. Jagr tied Howe in his 1,611th career game, 156 fewer than Howe played (1,767).

Jagr also recently climbed into third place on the NHL’s all-time goals list. He places sixth in all-time assists.
