TheDailySportsHerald's sources indicate that the Los Angeles Galaxy soon might be signing Brazilian star Ronaldinho to a contract for an undisclosed amount. An agreement in principle apparently has been reached between the parties, with the expected announcement of the potential deal set for late June or early July.
In 2010, the MLS amended the salary cap rule to increase the allowable number of designated players on each team from one to two. Designated players are exempt from the salary cap of $2.55 million as of 2010.
The 30-year old Ronaldinho recently was denied a chance to win his second World Cup championship when he was left off the Brazilian team by head coach Dunga. Having played for top tier teams such as Barcelona and AC Milan, the skillful Brazilian is sure to bring the best out of an already improving Galaxy squad.
