The well-traveled Portland native averaged 16 points, 16 rebounds, and 4.5 assists to lead Oregon to a road sweep in Los Angeles. Both wins came at a crucial time for Oregon, which has struggled since its torrid early-season start. The UCLA win should bolster the Ducks' case for a March Madness bid.
In the Ducks' 87-83 double-overtime victory over UCLA, Moser recorded 20 rebounds, the most by an Oregon player in 37 years since Greg Ballard reached 20 boards in a five-overtime game in 1977. Moser added 12 points, five assists, a block and a steal against the Bruins, shooting 4-of-15 from the field and 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
Oregon appeared to have the game in hand, but UCLA's David Wear hit a deep trey at the buzzer to force overtime. The short-handed Bruins played without their two top players, as Jordan Adams and Kyle Anderson were suspended one game by coach Steve Alford for violating unspecified team rules.
Moser played only one season for the Bruins under now-departed coach Ben Howland before transferring to UNLV. He was one of several players to transfer out of UCLA during Howland's tenure.
Against Pac-12 doormat USC, Moser had 20 points, going 9-of-15 in field goals and 2-of-5 from beyond the three-point line. He added 12 rebounds, four assists, a block, and a steal to lead Oregon to a 78-63 road win over the Trojans.
The selection marks the first-career Pac-12 weekly honor for Moser, who transferred to the Ducks from UNLV where he received four Mountain West Conference Player of the Week awards.
Oregon closes out the regular season this week at home against Arizona State and Arizona.
Other nominees included freshman star Aaron Gordon (Arizona), Jermaine Marshall (Arizona State), Josh Huestis (Stanford), Bryce Alford (UCLA), and Nigel Williams-Goss (Washington).
