The daughter of Los Angeles Lakers executive Mitch Kupchak tragically has passed away.
The Lakers issued the following statement:
"Alina Claire Kupchak, daughter of Lakers General Manager Mitch and his wife Claire, passed away this morning at the age of 15 after a lengthy illness. The family asks for and appreciates their privacy at this difficult time, and would like to express their gratitude for everyone’s love, support, thoughts and prayers."
Since learning of the heartbreaking news, many in the NBA have reached out to the Kupchak family.
The following statement was made by Los Angeles Clippers Head Coach and President of Basketball Operations Doc Rivers:
“On behalf of the Los Angeles Clippers, I would like to send my condolences to the Kupchak family. The Clippers Organization sends our best during this difficult time.”
