Main Events signs undefeated boxer Arif Magomedov

June 10, 2015

Boxing promotional company Main Events added another undefeated Russian fighter to its roster, signing middleweight Arif Magomedov (15-0, 9 KOs) to a co-promotional deal with Russia-based Shamo Boxing Promotions.

"I am very excited to work with Main Events," said Magomedov.  "This gives me opportunity to fight in United States and help me to become star here."

Born in Kizlyar, Russia, Magomedov is only 22 years old, but he has 15 professional fights since his pro debut just two years ago. He is undefeated as a pro with a 60% knockout-to-win ratio including his most recent bout, a first round TKO over veteran Darnell Boone on May 22 in Las Vegas.

In April, he defeated another veteran, Derrick Findley, in eight rounds in Costa Mesa, California.

Main Events CEO, Kathy Duva, said that Magomedov "is a fighter in a very hot division and we expect him to make his mark in it very soon. At just 22 years old, he has a long and bright future ahead of him that we are so happy to play a part in."
