DUCKS RALLY LATE FOR THIRD CONSECUTIVE HOME VICTORY

Corey Perry knotted the game with 5.1 seconds remaining in regulation and Chris Stewart scored the decisive goal in the fourth round of the shootout to lift the Ducks to their third consecutive win at Honda Center.

Perry, who shared 10th place in the NHL with 33 goals last season (67 GP), notched his first of 2015-16 (12 GP).

Stewart, who also scored in regulation, improved to 7-for-22 (31.8%) in his shootout career, including four game-deciding goals.

Jakob Silfverberg also converted in the shootout. His 64.0% career efficiency (16-for-25) ranks first in NHL history among players with a minimum 15 attempts.

Panthers forward Rocco Grimaldi, a native of Anaheim, scored in his first game against his hometown team.

TARASENKO COMPLETES BLUES’ COMEBACK WITH OT WINNER

Down 5-2 after the first period, the Blues scored four unanswered goals – including the winner by Vladimir Tarasenko at 3:54 of overtime – to pick up their fourth victory in their past five outings and snap the Blackhawks’ home winning streak at six games.

Via Elias, the Blues became the 11th team in NHL history to win a game in which it allowed five first-period goals (first such occurrence in STL history). The last time that happened: Nov. 18, 2010, when the Lightning overcame a 5-4 deficit after 20 minutes to defeat the Flyers, 8-7.

Tarasenko (1-1—2) recorded his third career overtime goal (also Oct. 28, 2014 at DAL and Nov. 28, 2014 vs. EDM). He paces the Blues with 7-5—12 this season (12 GP).

Six other Blues players collected multiple points: Alexander Steen (2-0—2), David Backes (1-1—2), Jay Bouwmeester (1-1—2), Robby Fabbri (1-1—2), Colton Parayko (0-2—2) and Alex Pietrangelo (0-2—2).

Jake Allen turned aside 27 of 28 shots in relief of Brian Elliott, who exited the game due to an injury in the first period. Allen improved to 5-3-0 in eight appearances this season (1.93 GAA, .935 SV%, 1 SO).

FEHR, PENGUINS STRETCH WINNING STREAK TO FIVE GAMES

Eric Fehr scored shorthanded midway through the third period – for what stood as the decisive goal – to power the Penguins to their fifth consecutive victory.

The Penguins, who began the season with three straight losses, also improved to 8-1-0 in their last nine contests.

Elias says that Fehr, who also registered a shorthanded goal in his Penguins debut on Saturday at TOR, became the first player in NHL history to score a shorthanded goal in each of his first two games with a team. Fehr had two shorthanded goals in his first 454 career appearances prior to Saturday.

BURMISTROV’S LATE GOAL PROPELS JETS PAST MAPLE LEAFS

Alexander Burmistrov scored the tiebreaking goal with 2:05 remaining in regulation to lift the Jets to their third win in their past four outings.

Burmistrov, who spent the past two seasons in the KHL, notched his third career game-winning goal and first since Dec. 11, 2010 at NYI (w/ ATL).

Bryan Little added 1-1—2, including his second shorthanded goal of the season. That is tied for first in the NHL with Artem Anisimov (CHI), Paul Byron (MTL), Eric Fehr (PIT) and Jean-Gabriel Pageau (OTT).

WILD LOOK TO MAINTAIN UNBLEMISHED HOME RECORD

The Wild, the only team that has yet to suffer a loss of any kind on home ice this season (5-0-0), looks to maintain that record when they welcome the Predators to Xcel Energy Center.

Overall, the Wild have points in three straight outings (2-0-1) and five of their past six (4-1-1), while the Predators have recorded at least one point in nine of their first 11 contests of the season (7-2-2).
