Conference USA announces schedule of games televised on NFL Network

May 30, 2019

Conference USA announced the 2019 schedule of games that will be broadcast on the NFL Network.

The move to the NFL Network was a smart way to expand the Conference's profile, as it could be getting more eyeballs at times next year than the Pac-12 due to that power conference's disappointing Pac-12 Network.

This season marks the first of a four-year partnership between the NFL and C-USA.

The 10-game schedule of games airs on Saturday afternoons, beginning Saturday, September 7 with Grambling at Louisiana Tech. Kick-off time for all games is currently scheduled for 3:30 PM ET.

NFL Network's schedule of C-USA games is highlighted by two matchups featuring defending conference champions UAB (vs. South Alabama on September 21 and at Southern Miss on November 9), as well as conference runner-up Middle Tennessee (vs. FIU on October 26).

Additionally, NFL Network's schedule includes teams which won bowl games in 2018 in Louisiana Tech (vs. Grambling on September 7 and vs. Southern Miss on October 19) and FIU (at Middle Tennessee on October 26).

Provided below is the 2019 NFL Network schedule:

C-USA shares a rich history with the NFL, with some of the game's greatest players coming from the conference. Pro Football Hall of Famers who played their college football at C-USA schools include Brett Favre (Southern Miss), Randy Moss (Marshall), Terry Bradshaw (Louisiana Tech), "Mean" Joe Greene (North Texas), and others.

Additionally, 16 players from C-USA have been selected in the NFL Draft over the last two years, including Marcus Davenport from UTSA selected No. 14 overall by the New Orleans Saints in the 2018 NFL Draft.
